So very sorry for your loss . Astrid was a wonderful ,caring ,kind teacher that made a difference . I so loved working with her and will treasure the good times at WWMS . My deepest sympathy!

I am so sorry I didn't see this obituary until today. Mrs. Bengtson, Astrid, had been our neighbor since she moved onto Gordon Place. She was my brother's 8th grade Algebra teacher!
While we knew each other as neighbors and enjoyed street parties together, I really got to know Astrid while she was at Apple Rehab. I enjoyed her sense of humor and learning what a wealth of information she had about Middletown past and present.
My condolences to her brothers, sister and their families, as well as her brother-in-law David. I will miss my visits with her!

Astrid was a good lady and I enjoyed working with her. I will miss her a great deal.
