I am sorry for your loss. God promises at Revelations 21:4 that one day death will be no more. I hope this brings you and your family comfort at this difficult time.

Lena, I am so sorry to hear of Roy's passing. Because of the snow, I did not get any newspapers for a few days, so I did not know about Roy. I do not have your new address or phone # (only Carpenter St.) so I can't get in touch with you personally. When you are up to it, I would love to hear from you. Please send my condolences to your children and grandchildren also. I am sure there is a huge void in all of your lives. My love and prayers are with you all! 973-377-7540

Being Chetta’s best friend as teenagers, brought me a friendship with the Tice family after Chetta’s passing. Lee and Roy were kind enough to include me in the MacPhee and Tice family events. I brought Bob into the fold and you welcomed him with open arms. I will always be grateful to both of you for that privilege. Together you raised a family of five and I am sure Roy, you are enjoying the rewards of that already.

Never to be forgotten are all the good times we had together; many shared dinners, weekends at our house, reminiscing over a copy of coffee and on and on. Roy, your sons had a huge job in emulating their father as husbands and being the men they became they are doing an awesome job. Thank you for giving my dear friend 53 years of love and friendship. She misses you terribly, everyone does but until we all meet again, rest in peace and hug Chetta for me.

Mr.Tice, You were a fine example of what a man should be. You taught so many people with your kind and patient ways. I was blessed to have you and Mrs. Tice as my CCD teachers at St Peters when I was young. You left a lasting impression on me then, and now when I was able to see you at the many Bloomfield High School sporting events you attended for your grandchildren. You raised a wonderful family and should be proud of the life you led. Rest easy... you will be missed.

Life was not without turmoil for each of us as we faced the many
challenges, loss of loved ones and illnesses to our families. Mr. Tice strength was championed by his inward desire to be the best he could be, and to help others in their time of woe.

God lends us our friends, our parents and our families to hold and
cherish in this life. When He takes them Home, He is not taking them
from us, but just bringing them Home to where they belong. Until we meet
again, Mr. Tice is enjoying his reward in Heaven and will certainly be looking after each of us. What a reunion it will be when we all meet again.

Our love and sympathy are with you all,

Judy and Joe Abplanalp
