Leroy E. "Roy" Tice, Jr.
Beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather, 74

Mr. Leroy E. "Roy" Tice, Jr., 74, of Clifton, NJ, formerly of Belleville, NJ, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017. The funeral will be conducted from the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Thursday, March 16 at 8:45 a.m. There will be a Funeral Mass celebrated at St. Peter's Church , Belleville at 10:00 a.m. The interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery , East Hanover. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 15 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Roy retired but worked part-time for Metro Caterers. A graduate of Weequahic HS, Newark, he began his career at Mutual of Omaha where he met his wife of 53 years, "his one and only" Lena "Lee" (nee Fiorellino). Together they shared a love that was unbreakable.

He was the loving father of the late Kevin, wife Clorinda (nee Bruno), Brian wife Estela (nee Rubio), Steven wife Lorajean (nee Hesse), Michele MacPhee and Michael MacPhee. "Pop-Pop" was most proud of his "Magnificent Seven", his grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, KelliAnne, Marisa, Kyle, Nicholas and Emily. They were his pride and joy and he will be missed as a fixture at the countless games, recitals and school events.

Roy touched the lives of so many of Belleville's Youth from his 25+ years coaching the Belleville Recreation "Peanut League Giants". He dedicated many years to the parish of St. Peter's, Belleville serving as a Eucharistic Minister, Pre-Cana member, CCD teacher, basketball coach and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed umpiring, spending time with his family, coffee with dear friends, and playing "Mille Borne" and laughing about the old days.

Our family is finding solace that he is reunited with his beloved son Kevin. We can hear their laughter and know that they are shining down on us. Heaven has truly gained another angel.
