Parker, I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom. She was such an incrediable woman. Wonderful that you and your family had her in your lives for as long as you did.

I have such fond memories of sleep overs on Carpenter Street and Corbetts Pond. Your mother always had the best food and goodies and seemed so calm in the midst of chaos. When I served with her on the avarice Fund board she took me under her wing and encouraged me to express my opinion and I always appreciated that she treated me as an equal. She was a wonderful volunteer for the Elliot and always took the time to check in and see how our family was doing. In more recent years I enjoyed catching up with her at the summer concerts and I will always cherish our last conversation which occurred last spring when she sent me a lovely note and I called to thank her and we had fun reminiscing. I know we all have special memories of a woman of great substance. I will miss her and am sorry I am not able to join you at the celebration of her life. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I am Elsie Mae Hawley Cofer's daughter and the granddaughter of Charles Hawley, Uncle Court's brother. Although I never met your mother, my mom shared the joy of finding her dear cousin. My sympathies are with all of you as another member of the Hawley family goes on to the other side.

How fortunate the world has been to have had Margaret Wheat in it for so many years. She has blessed my life in ways I didn't expect.
