Lifelong Nutley Resident, 58

Mr. Douglas E. Wiedman Jr., 58, of Nutley, NJ, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. The funeral will be conducted from the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Thursday, March 2 at 8:00 a.m. There will be a Funeral Mass celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church , Bloomfield at 9:00 a.m. The cremation will be held privately. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 1 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Douglas was born in Newark, NJ, and was a lifelong Nutley resident. He was employed by Amtrak, New York for 37 years as a Foreman in the C&S Department, Local 102. Douglas was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen as well as a member of the Nutley Third Half Club.

He is survived by his beloved wife Lori (nee Neer) Wiedman, his loving son Douglas W. Wiedman; his father, Douglas E. Wiedman Sr.; his sisters Donna Hild and her husband Richard and Diane Cooley and her husband David. Douglas is also survived by his sister-in-law Karen Jones and her husband Andy, and his brothers-in-law Gregory Neer and his wife Rita, Scott Neer and his wife Kathleen, and Kenneth Neer and his wife Megan.

Mr. Wiedman is predeceased by his mother Ann (nee Cassese) Wiedman.
