Rick was one of those people you value having around. Quirky, in a great way. Deep thoughts under a calm surface. I never worked with him directly, but he had a good reputation at work. We'll definitely miss his capability and personality. My condolences to your family for the loss of a fine man.

Rick (I always called him Richard, out of respect) was a good friend and co-worker at both HP and Intel for many years, and we often saw each other at the same antique radio auctions and shows. He had a most excellent cynical sense of humor, and was a shrewd and passionate radio collector. I'm really going to miss his wit and company. God bless you Richard, be at peace my friend.

I was a year ahead of Ricky in High School in Bath Co. KY. He was a great guy and probably the smartest person I ever met in High School. When we had physics together under Hoy Miller, Jr. (Muff), we as a class along with the teacher would try to work out a problem. In the end, Muff would always say "Come up here Alley and show us how it is done!!". Ricky would sound like a machine gun on the chalkboard and then Muff would look at his teacher's guide and it would be right! Rest In Peace My Brother!
