Martha's life is a life to celebrate if ever there was one. Martha always had that beautiful smile on her beautiful face! Talking with her was always a pleasure because it was always like her smile - always joyful and positive, never negative. Also, there never was any friendlier person. It was either my Mother or Martha who taught me that "If you cannot say anything good about someone, do not say anything at all." Martha joined the First Baptist Church of Peoria in 1935, the year before I was born and, when my parents joined that Church, I am certain that they introduced me to Martha and her family. Actually, her Son, Jim, and I were both baptized in that Church when we were 12, as I recall, and have been close friends ever since. And I must add, Martha was like a second Mother to me for which I will be forever grateful. Martha may be our loss (not really because her Christian character will always be with us).We will always love you and thank you, Martha!
