Helen wrote me a note on 8/3. Because I had moved it didn't get to me till Wed. when she was already gone. She sounded happy and upbeat. Sad to see her gone.

Grandma was for each of us. She loved us in our way, from her whole heart. She would hug and kiss goodbye, then come out the door to wave you down the drive, sometimes using a leg, then go flick the lights as you pulled away. She may leave this world but she'll never leave my life.

Auntie Helen was and will always be my favorite Aunt. I have not know many people who were as laid back, kind, gracious, and loving as she was. She was the glue that held together a great family. It was time now for her to go be with the Lord, and rejoin Bob. We will miss her.

I just want to let the entire family know I share their pain in the loss of their mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a wonderful woman who will remain forever in the hearts of her loved ones.
