Guestbook for Glenn E. Miller Showing 1 - 10 of 10 entries.

Uncle Glenn, I'll always remember riding on the motor boat with you, dad and Gordon. That's when I first learned/attempted to waterski. You were so patient :). Hope you are happy and at peace now. Love you!

Very saddened about the loss of one of the best. I worked for Glenn for 5 years in William Sector 2nd Watch. I enjoyed every minute of it. He always gave real good advice and always supported me. :-(

Glenn and I served together on the Seattle Police Officer's board of directors. Glenn was always a quiet voice of reason. All of the board members use to give him a hard time because he never turned off his police radio. Glenn could have requested to be excused from his duties during the board meetings, but he felt obligated to be available if any of his squad members needed him to respond. I appreciated Glenn's knowledge and commitment to his officers and the City of Seattle. He was one of the good guys.

I worked for Sgt. Miller when I was a young police officer in the late 70's & early 80's. Certainly one of the more 'unique' Sergeants. Many, many times Sgt. Miller would put his arm around my shoulders and explain to me things about police work and just life in general. I appreciated those moments. Only once did he ever get 'really mad' at my partner (Dennis Hossfeld) and me. It involved a fifth of whiskey and some juveniles in Lincoln Park. I didn't think he could get that mad. I hope he has found peace.

I am so sad that you are gone, but so happy that your final journey was a peaceful one. I was sent to care for you yet in many ways I think you helped me more.. the love and caring went both ways and I am honored to have been able to spend the last couple of years of your life with you, sharing our families, and all the fond memories of our trips to the beach just to have coffee and watch the waves, the camping trip this past summer, watching you take the papa role with baby Rio, and all the funny things you would say, along with all the talks we all had. You will always be a favorite memory. We love and miss you much~
