May you "Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you." (James 4:8) He is able to give you comfort, strength and peace during this time of sorrow. He promises us in his word at Isaiah 25:8 that "He will swallow up death forever." How wonderful it will be for all people when we will not have to experience things like this again.

Patrick, I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. I know that a mother is the most important person in your life, and no one could ever replace her. My prayers are with you and your entire family. I had the pleasure of meeting Clara as she was the roommate for my mother-in-law at South Mountain. She touched my heart with her love of her family. She was a devout Christian and encouraged her family to love the Lord. I will miss our talks as I kept in touch as I promised. We always closed our talks with I love you. She made me feel like I was part of her family.
Whenever she had a conversation with her children or grands she made sure she closed with I love you.
