I met Milly when I started working at NDC in 1984. She became my friend, my "other mother", and her daughters became the sisters I never had. We'd go into work early, and go out to lunch at 10:30, when other people were just finishing breakfast. She always drove, putting on her rain hat because the headliner in her car was falling down. Our favorite place for lunch was Taco Bell - she'd always order extra salsa for her taco salad. My most precious gift from her is a copy of a family cookbook that she helped create. I have it on my bookshelf in our dining area, and go to it whenever I need an awesome meatball and meatball sauce recipe or a potato salad recipe (which is the only one I use now). I'm thankful I got a chance to say "see ya later" to her, and I know she's in a better place - hanging out with Dot, GinGin, and probably bossing Chappy around. Know that she was loved by many, and left a lasting impression on those who were fortunate to call her "friend".
