Dear Mimi and Family,

Life brings tears,
smiles and memories.
The tears dry,
the smile fades,
but the memories
live on forever.

Dear Mimi and Ruth,
We lost touch so many years ago. I think of both of you often. So sorry to hear about Chuck's passing. Hopefully someday we can get in touch again! I will always remember meeting you in Pismo Beach and spending Thanksgiving together.

I remember the last time that I saw Chuck. I was visiting him in New London with you..and he was smiling and eating chocolate. Mom always enjoyed his visits. He was so very caring and attentive to your elderly relatives. He is suffering no more. Y'all are in my thoughts and prayers..Judy

Our deepest condolences to the Logan family. Mr. Logan's history and commitment to the United States through his service in Korea as well as his California commitment to the heartfelt protection of our farm labor was truly a gift. To Steve - your First American family sends you our thoughts and prayers. Please know that we will be with you during this difficult time. Your dad must have been pretty amazing to have raised such a thoughtful and caring son.

I am deeply saddened by the news of Chuck's passing. Chuck & Mimi became very good friends. When I started at W & H in Hartford. He was my Mentor & trainor. He taught me everything I know (and then some)I also remember all the good times we had in Clinton (clamming, swimming, etc.)with him,Mimi, Ruthie and my kids, & other friends. To Mimi, Ruthie, & the rest of his family, I offer my deepest sympathies. He will be greatly missed.

Mimi, it's been too many years. I remember when I learned Migrant and Seasonal Agriculture Protection Act investigation procedures from Chuck and Ed in Santa Maria in 1975. What I always admired about Chuck was his certainty about how a Wage Hour case should be handled and doing the work to make it happen. It was because of him WH had its first successful Ricoh criminal conspiracy case in Griffith Ives. He hounded the US Attorney's office until they accepted the case. I made too many mistakes as his boss, and am not sure I ever told him how much I admired him. He was a great investigator, and a wonderful human being. The DD in Connecticut thanked me for getting him as an investigator. I'm sorry he's gone. I wish you and his children the comfort of knowing what a good man he was. You're in my prayers. Rolene

To the Logan Family,
My condolences go out to all of you. Chuck was a wonderful man, highly respected and liked by everyone at the Oxnard Border Patrol Station. He worked hard protecting the rights of workers, in a fair and equal manner. The first successful conviction for slavery in California was accomplished with Chuck's assistance. At late member of a great generation, his loss will be felt my many.

Dear Mimi and Ruth,my thoughts are with you at this sad time. Mimi, do you remember when you and Chuck, with the Hansons, spent a weekend with us at "Belly Acres"? Lots of lobsters and laughter! Chuck was a wonderful man, and I know you must miss him terribly. With much love, Carol

Although Charlie mostly was living and working elsewhere, the love my folks had for Charlie never waned. My mother Emma, now 98, lights up when his name comes up! She sends her most sincere condolences. I have made a keepsake of the custom made light blue tee shirt we all wore at the Logan reunion held in the middle 80's. Charlie provided the shirts! ( I have a DVD copies of the mid 1930's [8mm>DVD] and mid 80's reunion. The latter, has a brief video interview with Charlie, wife and son. )

Charlie will always have a special place in our memories.
