I met Viola when she was first diagnosed at Medstar. I was the section chief for PET/CT. We often talked before and after my retirement last year. Viola was a wonderful with a beautiful sense of humor. We were both Aries with my bithday the day after hers. I have really had her on my mind and had called her cell several times especially around her birthday. We had talked in February about getting together. I found this tonight on the internet and I'm beyond sad. In my heart I knew it probably had occurred since I had been unable to contact her.

My heart goes out to the family. We always ranked about our families. When I retired she brought me a little musical christmas tree. I will always think of her when I see that tree. It has a place in my dining room year round. I wish I had been able to attend her services.

I love you forever

We were sadden to hear about the passing of Viola. She loved her family and was dedicated to the education of the children of the District of Columbia. Especially the students at Ballou SHS where she served as Assitant Principal and later as principal of Garfield Elementary. We spent many long hours working to support children and families. She was a good friend and a caring person.

Wow Bunny......I am gonna miss you.
