Dear Sandy and family, I'm very sorry for your loss, I'll always remember your Mom of course from gym class. I also had the opportunity to "win" her as part of a Latin club activity and she became my "slave for a day". She was a good sport carrying my lunch tray and books!! She was always so patient with all of us and I'm sure she will be sorely missed. Sincerely Karen LeBlanc-Grady

Dear Denz Family, I am so sorry for your loss. I had "Mrs. Denz" at Middletown High - probably for only a year or two according to when she started in Cromwell, but for some reason I have thought about her on and off during the years since then - I can even still picture her face & hair from back then. I believe it's because her attitude and cheerfulness made such an impact on me that I wanted to "grow up and be just like her". I do believe my own positive attitude towards life is a direct reflection of her. I had no idea she was living so close when she left MHS.
I just wanted to let you, her family, know how many strangers there are out there that were so Blessed to have known her - even for a short while - many, many years ago. God Bless.

Susan, I can't think of anyone who grew up of lived in Cromwell in the last 50 years that did not come in contact with John and Nancy Denz. What a couple, always smiling always supportive. Mrs. Denz, as I knew her, was always smiling and so friendly. I am sure you feel her loss but know in your heart how many people she touched. As has been repeated so many times but it is true "the fruit does not fall far from the tree". I am sorry for your loss.

John, I met Ginny Kiely from Elpaso, TX at the Quechee Gorge in Vermont. She had you and Nancy in her thoughts. It was a fate meeting. She was on a trip with two other gals and until calling Willa this morning did not know of Nancy's passing. So sorry to hear of your loss.
How many of us got to learn basketball from you!
Blessings,

Dear John,

My heartfelt sympathy to you and your family. I was so saddened to hear of Nancy's passing. I was very fond of her and will always remember how she called me the night before my very first day of teaching and continued to call me every year, for 34 years, on the night before the first day of school to tell me that she was thinking about me and to wish me luck for the school year. Although I spoke to her this summer, I did not hear from her last week and she was on my mind.
Nancy was honest, funny, and a wonderful person. I will cherish her memory.
Fondly, Sue Shea
