Jerry Lee Walker, 81, Horton, Kansas, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023.
He was born on February 5, 1942, to Joseph G. and Evelyn M. (Wonder) Walker in Horton, Kansas.
He married Shirley M. Alfrey on April 21, 1963, in Troy, Kansas.
Jerry and Shirley moved to Pennsylvania. During this time, Jerry worked as a manufacturing engineer for Superior Pet for over 20 years. He was a member of the 32nd Degree Shriners, the Elks Lodge and a member/past president of the Masonic Lodge.
In 1991, his family relocated to his hometown of Horton, Kansas. Jerry and Shirley opened up Northend Liquor Store together in 1992 and ran it until they retired. He later joined the Lions Club and was also a member of the shooting range. Jerry enjoyed hunting and fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harold Walker; brothers-in-law, Doc Burroughs, Bill Leach; and sister-in-law, Janet Alfrey.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Shirley; daughters, Pam Garrison (Don) and Sandra Maines; grandchildren, Donnie Garrison, Kevin Garrison, Shane Garrison, Randy Maines and Nichole Maines; 8 great-grandchildren, and sister, Nancy Walker.
Jerry was a member of the Kansas Cremation Service. A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society of Brown County, Kansas. Online guestbook and obituary at www.kansascremation.com.
