Antonio Palazzolo passed away on July 30th, 2021. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Maddalena, his four children, Anthony (and Rayann) Palazzolo, Mary Lou (and Lucky Costa), Elena (and Leo Battaglia), and Joe (and Grace) Palazzolo, his five grandchildren Ashley Wall, Angela and Alexis Battaglia, Gianni and Max Palazzolo, his brother Damiano, sister Pina and many other close family and friends. Antonio was preceded in death by his father Antonino, mother Maria, and brother Agostino. Antonio was born June 13, 1939 in Palermo and raised in Cinisi, Sicily. He worked at the Fiat factory in Torino, Italy before immigrating to San Pedro, California in 1966 where he worked for many years at Todd Shipyards. Antonio loved to spend time with family, travel, watch soccer games and talk about Roman history and his Italian culture and heritage of which he was so proud. There will be a viewing from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 9th with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at McNerney’s Mortuary in San Pedro. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 10th at 10:30 a.m. at Mary Star of the Sea Parish. Interment will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park.
