David Michael Fellin, DO of Ponte Vedra Beach Florida, 56, passed away on November 7, 2019 after a long battle with colon cancer. He was born Feb 28, 1963 in Norristown, Pennsylvania. He relocated his family to Florida upon medical school graduation where he lived in the beaches area.
David is a graduate of St. Paul RC Elementary School (1978), Bishop Kenrick High School (1981), Penn State (1985), Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM-1989) and completed his Cardiac Fellowship at Hahnemann University Hospital (1993). David proudly served his community by providing medical care throughout the beaches and Jacksonville area. He will be remembered for his caring bed side manner and kindness to others. Although he worked hard, he enjoyed spending quality time with his family. He loved anything involving space and flight and everything about football.
He is survived by his loving family, Karen Assalone Fellin and their 3 beautiful children, twin sons Justin and Zachary and daughter Alexandra Fellin. He is the son of Yolanda (Pagano) Fellin and the late Paul Fellin. Loving sibling to his brother Steven (Sandra) Fellin and sister Maria (Joseph) Gannon and revered uncle to many nieces and nephews.
A service celebrating his life will be held in Jacksonville Beach, Florida on November 21, 2019 at 1:00pm at Quinn-Shalz family funeral home and cremation centre located at 3600 3rd Street South, Jacksonville Beach Florida 32250
We will also be celebrating his life with a calling hour at 9:30am followed by a Catholic Mass at 10:30am on November 23, 2019 in Pennsylvania at St. Philip Neri RC Church located at 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA 19444. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, Norristown.
In lieu of flowers, donations for the benefit of Justin and Zachary can be made payable to the David Michael Fellin Special Needs Trust and mailed to Maria Gannon at 23 Winterberry Drive Perkasie, PA 18944
