Mary Rose Cottetta, a lifetime resident of Norristown, passed away peacefully in her home on October 17, 2019. She was 99 years old. Born in Norristown to the late John and Lucy (Santori) Carpani, she was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Cottetta.

Mary worked in repairs for Philco Ford until her retirement. She was a devoted parishioner of Holy Saviour Church and loyal to the Blessed Mother.
Mary loved fashion and was always meticulously dressed for Mass, special occasions, and family gatherings. She was known for her fabulous cooking and baking, particularly during the holidays.

Family was paramount to Mary. She was a wonderful mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend. She will be dearly missed by her son, Jerome Cottetta, and his wife, Marguerite, of Schwenksville; daughter, Sharon Kurylo (the late Stanley), of Schwenksville; three grandchildren, Steve Kurylo, Nicole Kachmar (Ken), and Julienne Custer (Seth); five great grandchildren, Tyler, Chloe, Cailin, Klara, and Sierra; one brother, Dominic Carpani; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jennifer Szalabotka; four brothers, Albert, Anthony, Mario, and John; and two sisters, Sunday and Eleanor.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, October 25th from 9:00 AM to 9:50 AM in Holy Saviour Church, 407 E. Main Street, Norristown, PA 19401. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 AM. Entombment in St. Patrick's Cemetery Mausoleum, East Norriton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's name are requested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online at: https://www.stjude.org/donate
