Ignatius L. "Buck" Angelichio, 76, of Norristown on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery. Born May 28, 1943 in Norristown, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Anna (Picard) Carapello and Dominic Angelichio, and husband of Carmella "Mella" (Corropolese) Angelichio.
Mr. Angelichio was raised in Ambler, PA graduate of Ambler High class of '61. He was a patrolman for the Ambler Police Dept from 1965 67, then 2 years with the Whitpain Twp. department, then with CSX Transportation from 1970 retiring in 1997 as a special agent. He was a longtime Norristown area resident of Buttonwood Street.
Survivors include sons: Dominic "MIck" (Roslyn) Angelichio, Vincent Angelichio, 5 grandchildren, sister, Joanne (the late Salvatore) Santangelo, sister in law, Sue (the late Joseph) Angelichio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother's second husband Andy Carapello.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, October 7, 2019, from 10 12 pm, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1100 W. Marshall St., Ntn., PA. Funeral Mass will follow at noon. Burial will be private at a later date in St. Patrick's Cemetery, East Norriton, PA, 19401.
