Wilfred A. Corey 91 died September 19, 2019 following a period of declining health. Born in Bellows Falls Vt., he was the son of Edmond and Florence (Gary) Corey. He has lived in both Vermont, as well, as New Hampshire over his life time. He has lived in Weare for the past 8 years previously residing in Whittingham, Vt. Wilfred worked at various jobs through out his life. Wilfred was a truck driver for B.E. Pepin Co. for a number of years. He was a veteran of WWll having served with the United States Navy. He loved spending time outdoors hunting, fishing and camping, however, one of his joys came from the challenge of a puzzle.
He was predeceased by his wife of 64 years Edith P. (Hamer) Corey 2012
Members of his family include 6 children - Glenn Corey and wife Dode of Weare, Linda and husband Bill Matheson lll of Weare,Cynthia and husband Robert Wike of Goffstown, Allen Corey of Manchester, Doug Corey of New Boston, Ronald Corey and wife Melanie of Indiana. 13 grandchildren Lee Luffman, Bill Matheson IV, Crystal Heafield,Sue Byam, Kathy Holt, Glenn (unk) Corey, Cindy Cantin, Erika Ogden, Corey Wike, Trevor Corey, Danny Corey, Jennifer Corey, and Nick Corey. 26 great grandchildren - Josephine Byam, Elizabeth Byam, Bill Holt, Timmy Holt, Jack Holt, Heather Holt, Tony Cantin, Keith Cantin, Vincent Cantin, Emily Corey, Hannah Corey, Kristy Townes, Katy Aucoin, Rebecca Matheson, Bill Matheson V, Maggie Heafield, Belle Heafield, John Heafield, Scot Ogden, Alexandria Ogden, Annalise Ogden, Grace Ogden, Jaxon Corey, Jones Corey, Cole Corey, Amara Mae Barrows, Allisya Barrows. 3 great great grandchildren - Eldon Townes lll, Leighton Townes, Mason Aucoin.
On October 5,2019 there will be a graveside burial at the Westlawn Cemetery Goffstown NH at 10:00 am. After the burial all are invited to go to Glenn Corey's home at 11 Emerson Turnpike Rd. Weare, NH. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Veterans Court 555 Auburn Street Manchester, NH 03103.
