Raymond Sanchez was born July 7, 1975 in Monticello, Utah. He passed away August 11, 2018 in Cortez, Colorado. Memorial mass will be held Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Saint Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Father Pat will officiate. Interment will follow at Summit Ridge Cemetery. A rosary will be held Friday, August 17, 2018 from 6-7 pm at the church.
Ray was a lover of the outdoors. He loved hiking, fishing, golfing, taking drives, and just being outside. He worked as a line cook and was really good at putting meals together. He had a gentle spirit and was a great friend to many. His sense of humor was one of a kind. He was always joking around and laughing. He was very creative and made many unique creations. He’ll be deeply missed by those he left behind.
Survived by Ray are his parents, Freddy and Renee Sanchez of Cortez; his sister, Jennifer Sanchez, his niece, Briana Montoya, and nephew, Matthew Montoya of Cortez; his sister, Stacey Sanchez, his niece, Gina Nelson(Shane), and nephew, Kayden Brooks of Cortez; his half-sister, Melissa Begay(Rayland) and nephews, Caleb and Quanah Begay of Cortez.
