Albert English was born April 28, 1933 and passed away on August 8, 2018 at the age of 85. ”Bill” as he was known to everyone, was born in Spur, TX to Delbert and Mary Elva English. He was the second of twelve children, being the oldest son. He grew up in Dexter, NM. Bill married Edith Hinds and they had three daughters, Sherry, Lynn and Billie. They were married for 54 years when Edith passed away in 2004. The family moved many times while Bill worked for Texaco. The family lived in Cortez five different times before they were finally able to settle there and they built their home. He worked for 35 years before retiring. Last year he moved to Thatcher, AZ to live with Billie and Doug. He fought a courageous battle with cancer for the last few years. Bill is survived by his daughters, Sherry, Billie Huff (Doug), Lynn Lichliter (Ron) and Daisy, his faithful Boston Terrier. He is also survived by brothers, Kenneth (Rose), JD (Kathy), Dale (Charlotte), Bob (Amy), sisters, Foncine Morgan (Bill), Sue Reed (Kurt), Melba Harris (Lloyd), Glenda Hoogestraat (Virgil) and Jackie Fowler (Bob); also four grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Edith; granddaughter, Stephanie; brother, Truman; sister, Evalyn; as well as his parents.
