ALEXANDRIA, IN- Linda Kay Ryan, 72, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Community Hospital in Anderson following a brief illness.
She was born on January 5, 1946 to James and Myrtle Goodpaster and has lived in the Alexandria area for most of her lifetime. She attended Anderson High School. Kay retired from Red Gold in Elwood in 2012 after 12 years of employment. For many years, she did home nursing care for several Alexandria families. She enjoyed attending garage sales and mushroom hunting. The time spent with her grandchildren and sitting on her front porch was most precious to her.

6 Grandchildren-Kyle Goodpaster, Britany Goodpaster, Sarah Ryan, Alyssa Ryan, Kera Hughes, Kris Walker
Great-Granddaughter-Savana Dalton
3 Brothers-Leroy (Michelle) Goodpaster-Pensacola, Florida, Calvin (Marilyn) Goodpaster-North Vernon, Donnie Goodpaster-Eustis, Florida
Sister-Beverly Francis-Hope
Several nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband-Harold "Mousey" Ryan, Brother-David Goodpaster, Jim Goodpaster, Virgil Max Goodpaster, sisters-Allyene Richards, Martha Thomas and Connie Taulman.
Kay has requested private family services followed by cremation. Interment of cremains will take place in Forrestville Cemetery in Boone Township.
