LAFAYETTE, IN- James L. "Jim" Flood, 69, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018 following a brief illness.

Jim was born on September 23, 1948 in Anderson, Indiana to Florin and Leeta (Griffey) Flood and has lived in Lafayette for most of his adult life. He was a 1966 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School in Fortville, IN and held an Associate's Degree in Automotive Technology from Ivy Tech. Jim served our country honorably in the US Navy from 1966 to 1969. It was during this time that he met and married the love of his life, Nancy. He has worked at SIA in Lafayette for the past 29 years. Jim was a man that loved well and he loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus, with all that was in him. The legacy of faith he has given to his family is more precious than all the riches in the world. We will miss him intensely, as will many of you, but we could never wish him back here. He is enjoying what we still long for, to see our Lord and Maker as He truly is. To fellowship with Him face to face, without hindrance! NOTHING could be better than that! This is not the end, this is just the beginning.

Survivors:
Wife - Nancy (Miller) Flood - married June 22, 1968
Children - Drew Flood and Laurel (Mark) Hassett all of Lafayette, Eric (Victoria) Flood of Alexandria, IN, and Geoffrey (Katherine) Flood of Greenfield, IN
Grandchildren - Caleb and Aaron Hassett both of Lafayette, and Faith Hassett of Randburg, Gauteng, South Africa
