ALEXANDRIA, IN- Bobby B. Johnson, 90, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Community Hospital in Anderson.
He was born on March 13, 1927 in Alexandria to Eustis and Ethel (Beemer) Johnson and has lived in Alexandria all of his lifetime. He was a graduate of Alexandria High School-Class of 1945. Bob served with the United States Navy from 1944 to 1946 and was honorably discharged as a Seaman 1st Class. He retired from Delco-Remy in 1989 after 30 years of employment. Bob was a member of the Alexandria First Christian Church, the Alexandria American Legion, Alexandria VFW and the Alexandria Eagles #1771.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his wife-Almetta “Rusty” Johnson in 2003, son-Jerry Johnson in 2003, sister-Betty Etchison
Services honoring Bob’s life and legacy will take place at 2 pm on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, in the Owens Funeral Home in Alexandria with Pastor Julia Bratton officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Alexandria. Friends may call at the Owens Funeral Home after 11 am on Wednesday prior to the services.
