Donna J. Grimm, 88 of Lodi, OH passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 16, 2017, at Lodi Community Hospital.
She was born August 17, 1928 in Canton, OH to Russell and Grace (Pontius) Bachtel.
She graduated from Lodi H.S. in 1946 and Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing with her RN Diploma in 1948. Upon graduation, she was employed by Lutheran Hospital in the medical/surgical unit.
She was a member of the Lodi United Methodist Church, the Lodalia Garden Club, the Visiting Nurses Assoc., Medina Co. Chapter of the American Red Cross and volunteered in the blood mobile for 20 years.
After raising her three children she worked part-time for the Medina County Treasurer's office.
Her love of her husband, family, and her home were the highlights of her life.
She is survived by her
Husband Harold "Vic" Grimm of 67 years
Sons Tom (Sara) of Wadsworth
Robert "Buck" (Terri) of Seville
Daughter Karen (Doug) Berger of Glenmoore, PA
Grandchildren Jarrod (Haley) Grimm of Powell, OH
Chad Grimm of Palm Springs, CA
Kaitlyn Berger of Seattle, WA
Hannah Berger of Boston, MA
Great-Grandchildren Breanna Grimm of Wadsworth
Grayson and Lennon Grimm of Powell, OH
As well as many lifetime friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Bob Bachtel.
Funeral Service will be held Friday July 21 at 11 AM at Parker Funeral Home, 210 Medina St. Lodi (330-948-1122)
Pastor Diane Bell will officiate.
Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Lodi.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lodi United Methodist Church, 320 Medina St. Lodi, OH 44254
