Stella Zimney ( nee Furtak ), 87, died Friday, July 14, 2017. Born in Poland, she lived in Irvington before moving to North Arlington 39 years ago. She worked as a sewing machine operator and trimmer for the Reliable Miller Casket Company in Kearny before retiring 20 years ago. Stella was the beloved wife of the late John, the devoted mother of Christine Smethers and her husband Fred, the cherished grandmother of Dylan and Cassandra, the dear sister of Janina Kaminski, Stanislow Furtak, Jan Furtak , Maria Wiedzialek and the loving aunt of many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Parow Funeral Home 185 Ridge Rd., North Arlington on Tuesday, July 18th at 9 a.m. thence to St. Michael's Church, Lyndhurst for the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. The family will receive friends on Monday 4-8 p.m.
