G. Elaine Todd of Aberdeen died Thursday, July 13 at the Sen. Bob Hooper House. She was 81.
Born in Baltimore she was the daughter of the late Emmett D. & Clara L. (Keller) Tobin and wife of the late Gene M. Todd, Sr. who passed in 1994.
A homemaker, Mrs. Todd had worked at the Aberdeen Florist and Walmart in Aberdeen and she loved going to various tea rooms in the area. She was an active member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, the Aberdeen Golden Age Club and was a much loved Bunco Buddy. She was quick to give compassionate care to anyone she knew who was sick or in need.
She is survived by her children, Gene M. Todd, Jr. of Hayes, VA, Mark S. Todd of Newark, DE, Joyce A. Todd of Aberdeen, Karen E. Dilello of High View, WV and Lisa M. Todd of Arnold, MD; sisters, Phyllis Reisinger of Aberdeen and Sharron Amerg of Rising Sun; grandchildren, Alex & Nick Dilello and Sara, Gavin and Gregory Todd, and her great grandchildren, Vincent Marra and Cadence Todd. In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by her sister Claire Williams and granddaughter, Chelsea Marra.
A visitation will be held at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 19 from 6-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church at 10:00am on Thursday, July 20. Interment will be in Harford Memorial Gardens. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Good Samaritan Ministry at St. Joan of Arc, 222 S. Law St., Aberdeen, MD 21001. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.tarringcargo.com
