KENT – Evelyn Mary Kent, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 11, 2017. She was the loving wife of the late Henry Monroe Kent who passed away in 1984. Evelyn was born April 9, 1921 in New Britain; the daughter of the late Dean and Mary (Martancik) Crombie.
She is survived by her son, Robert Kent and wife Patty of Torrington; daughter, Mary Kent of Litchfield; sister, Mildred Poppel and husband Charles of New Britain; daughter-in-law, Becky Kent of New Hartford; grandchildren, Jon Kent of New Hartford, Christopher Kent of Burlington and Tim Kent and wife Tammy of West Hartland; great grandchildren, Christopher Kent, Jr., Hillary Kent, David Kent, T.J. Kent and Tyler Kent; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, James Kent.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, July 14, 2017 at Our Lady of Hope Parish, Immaculate Conception Church in New Hartford at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, New Hartford. There will be no calling hours. Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 5 Steele Road, New Hartford has care of the arrangements.
