Martha Louise (Moses) Jarvis, 66, of Middletown, beloved wife of Alexander Jarvis, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at UCONN Medical Center. Born in Richland, GA, she was the daughter of the late James and Elzora (Walton) Moses.
Martha was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and was employed at Aetna for many years retiring in 1995. She loved to garden and was a sweet genuine friend and a loving, committed wife, mother and grandmother.
Along with her husband, Martha is survived by two sons, Alexander "AJ" Jarvis, II and Dexter Jarvis, both of Middletown; two daughters, Angela Jarvis of East Greenwich, RI and Erica Jarvis of Boston, MA; four brothers, Joseph Moses of Bloomfield, Samuel Moses, Charles Moses and Albert Moses, all of Richland, GA; two sisters, Mattie Underwood of Columbus, GA and Barbara Jackson of Fort Washington, MD; four grandchildren, Jaden, Mehki, Malia, and Mason and a host of nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, her brother, James Moses, predeceased her.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 17 at 10:00 am at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 346 Butternut Street, Middletown. Burial will follow in Indian Hill Cemetery.
