Cory Lee Skrivanek, age 42 of Stanton, died Thursday July 6, 2017 at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk. He was born May 11, 1975 at Norfolk, Nebraska the son of Alvin J. and Kathy (Hochstein) Skrivanek, Jr.. He attended Stanton County District #19 through the 8th grade and graduated from Stanton High School in 1993.
On February 28, 2004 Cory married Tawnya Krueger at St. John's Lutheran Church in Norfolk, they were later divorced.
Before coming a full time farmer with his dad, Cory drove truck hauling cattle for Labenz Trucking of Pilger. Later he hauled for T.C. Transport of Stanton. He loved his winter snowmobile trips with the guys. Loved spending time with his daughter and going to all of her school functions.
Surviving Cory are his mom and dad A. J. and Kathy Skrivanek of Stanton; daughter Rylie Krueger of Norfolk; Sister Jenny and Waylon Campbell and niece Shaylee Campbell all of Atkinson; Grandmother Phyllis Hochstein of Norfolk and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Cory is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Alvin and Elsie Skrivanek, Sr. and his maternal grandfather Jerome Hochstein.

Visitation: 3-8 P.M. Sunday at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Stanton under the direction of Shultz-Vogel-Johnson Mortuary of Stanton.
