Jocelyn Loraine Tanner Marshall Haywood was born on December 21, 1956 in Fort Worth, Texas to Jerry and Carey Tanner. She was the only child born to this union. She spent her formative years in Fort Worth and graduated from Poly Tech High School in 1975 She later obtained a degree in Computerized Business Administration from A.T.I. in 1990.
Jocelyn married Rodney Trent Marshall in 1976. To this union she was blessed with three children, Rodney Lamar Tanner, Angela Travette Marshall and Joshua DeWayne Marshall. Jocelyn later departed with Rodney and several years later met and married Tyrone B. Haywood in 2008. Through this union she gained four step children, Michele Anthony, Charles Anthony White, Terance L. Haywood, and Ashley Govan.
She enjoyed shooting pool, playing Bingo, Dominoes, cards and spending time with family. Jocelyn was also a member of the Ladies of Rapture Social Club and the Royalettes of Austin.
Jocelyn accepted Christ at an early age and was a devoted member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Austin, Texas.
She leaves to cherish her memory her mother Carey Tanner, husband Tyrone Haywood, seven children and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was loved by many and will be truly missed.
