FECTO – Robert Francis Fecto, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Geer Village. He was the loving husband of Arleen (Jacobs) Fecto for 67 years. Born May 22, 1927 in New Hartford; the son of the late Charles and Ella (Thomas) Fecto.
Robert was proud to serve in the U.S. Navy and with the "Seabees" and then in the Navy Reserves for 6 years. He worked for the Metropolitian District in Hartford for 32 years before retirement. He also was the sexton at Immaculate Conception Church in New Hartford for many years.
In addition to his devoted wife, he leaves two grandsons, Gary Fecto, Jr., of Winsted and Aron Paul Fecto of New Jersey; two great granddaughters, Angelina Smith of Brooklyn, CT and precious Sofia Fecto of Winchester; and a brother, William Fecto and his wife Ann of New Hartford. He was predeceased by two sons, Gary Francis Fecto, Sr., and Glen Paul Fecto.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Our Lady of Hope Parish, New Hartford at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Eno Hill Cemetery, Colebrook with full Military Honors.
