Lorraine Dorr Witzke, age 83, of Lapeer, formerly of Bay City, died Monday, June 19, 2017. Lorraine was born October 31, 1933 in Saginaw, to Joseph and Alma (Beyer) DeWald. She graduated from Arenac Eastern High School and worked many years in Accounting for Ferguson Convalescent Home. Lorraine married Thomas Witzke on August 21, 1985 in Frankenmuth. Lorraine and Thomas loved dancing and listening to Polka Music. Mrs. Witzke enjoyed ceramics, crocheting and knitting.
Lorraine is survived by her children: David (Alana) Dorr of Otter Lake, Dennis (Amy) Dorr of Lapeer, Dale (Jodi) Dorr of Davison and Diane (Mike) Townsend of Lapeer; step-children: LeRoy (Carol) Witzke, Johanna (Allen) Fox, Ladona (Casey) Tucker and Edwin Witzke; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 9 step greatgrandchildren; siblings: Donna (Chuck) Shaver, Doris Deering, Loretta (Bill) Bartlett, June (Paul) Emerson and Martin (Stella) DeWald. She was preceded in death by her loving husband: Thomas Witzke; and her parents.
Visitation will be 2-4PM Thursday, June 22, 2017, at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer. Lorraine's funeral service will follow immediately at 4PM Thursday, at the funeral home. Pastor Jeremy Lazzell will officiate, burial will be in Floral Garden Cemetery in Bay City.
