Ronald Kirtley Whysall, 76, of Lapeer (formerly of Livonia), died Tuesday, June 13, 2017.
Ronald was born August 22, 1940 to William and Sarah (Harris) Whysall. Early on, Ron worked in construction – helping to build all sorts of commercial buildings including several schools. Eventually, Ron retired from General Motors – he worked at the Powertrain Plant in Warren. Ron loved hunting, fishing and was a gifted woodworker.
Ron is survived by his children: Danny (Cindy) Whysall of Hope Mill, NC, Debra (Kem) Sutherby of Imlay City and Dawn (Bill) Conley of Reed City; six grandchildren: Heather, Dana, Jackie, Eric, Jennifer and Jessica; seven great grandchildren: Amira, Austyn, Jakob, Derek, Mallory, Leah and Zachary; brother, Michael (Carrie) Whysall of Richmond. Ron was preceded in death by his first wife, Bobbie (nee, Denny) Whysall; his 2nd wife, Carol (nee, Bensteel) Whysall; sister, Judith Hart and his parents.
Memorial contributions may be made to any Lapeer County Hospice.
Visitation will be held from 12:00-4:00PM Friday, June 16, 2017 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. Ron's funeral will be 4:00PM Friday, June 16, 2017 at Muir Brothers. Pastor Warren Paulson will officiate.
