Eva Mae Davis age 101 of Eckmansville, OH passed away Friday June 9, 2017 at her residence in Blanchester. She was born August 9, 1915 in Jefferson Twp, Brown County, OH on what is now Faul Rd, the oldest of 5 children of the late John Thomas and Etelena (Pickerill) Blair. She was an accountant. She was also a member of the Ripley Lt Byrd Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, Women of the Moose Dubuque, IA Chapter #850, Blair Society for Genealogical Research; former member and 1987-88 President of Brown County Genealogical Society.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Stanley W. Davis, one son Buddy Mays, brothers; Frank R and George W. Blair and sisters; Mary G. Jones and Francis Ruth Penny.
Eva is survived by 1 son; James Donald Mays and wife Phyllis of Dubuque, IA, 3 grandsons, many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Meeker Funeral Home in Russellville with Lynn Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at the Linwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 12, 2017 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
