Sarah (Tuckman) Langer, 97, of Portland, beloved wife of the late Murray Langer, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2017. She worked for the Portland Public Schools and for the State of Connecticut. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends. Sarah was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by two sons, Allen and his wife, Cindy and Jeffrey and his wife, Wanda; her grandchildren, Danielle and David and her sister, Jennie Einhorn.

Besides her husband, Sarah was predeceased by two sisters, Fritzie Licht and Edythe Drasner.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Portland Care and Rehabilitation, as well as the staff at One McDonough Place and Masonicare.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 2 at 11:30 am in the State Veterans' Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown. The family will also receive visitors at the home of Allen and Cindy Langer on Friday evening from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Michael J.
