Denise Lorraine Croisetiere Larrivee

Denise Lorraine (Croisetiere) Larrivee, 87, of Cromwell, wife of the late Normand R. Larrivee, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2017 at Pilgrim Manor. Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Raoul and Eva (Talon) Croisetiere.

Denise lived in Cromwell since 1953 and was employed at Connecticut Hardware Supply for twenty-seven years retiring in 1995. She also wrote for the Middletown Press for sixteen years as the Cromwell Correspondent. Denise was a member of Saint John Church where she was a Eucharist Minister, Lecturer and a member of the Past Presidents Group. She was secretary of the Cromwell Grenadier Fife and Drum Corp, the Little League Auxiliary, Catholic Daughters of America, President of the Middlesex Council of Catholic Women and a former member of the Cromwell Board of Selectman.

Denise is survived by two sons, Richard Larrivee and his wife, Anne of Huntsville, AL and Raymond Larrivee and his wife, Carolyn of Cromwell; five daughters, Norma-Jeanne Kelsey and her husband, L.G. of Cromwell, Diane Crescimano and her husband, Steven of Cromwell, Nancy Varricchio and her husband, Todd of Middletown, Pauline Murphy and her husband, Craig of Cromwell and Suzanne Lyke and her husband, Keith of Higganum; her sister, Muriel Larrivee of Fall River, MA; seventeen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 19 at 9:00am from the Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main Street, Cromwell followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Saint John Church, Cromwell. Burial will follow in Cromwell Hillside Cemetery West.

Family and friends may call on Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Cromwell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Denise's memory may be made to Saint John Church, 5 Saint John Court, Cromwell, CT 06416 or the Cromwell Ambulance Division, P.O. Box 269, Cromwell, CT 06416.
