Aaron Bilups, Sr., was born on November 18, 1939 in Elmore Alabama to the late Jim and Fannie Lee Harris. He passed away on December 1, 2016 at Caring Heart Care Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The family moved to Springfield Massachusetts where Mr. Billups was educated during his early years. After high school he furthered his education at Hampton University with a B.S. in Accounting, and Drexel University with a Master of Business Administration. He served as a Lieutenant in the Unites States Army for four years and was top cadet in each of his four years in the military.

Aaron was a top level weight lifter and competed against Olympic champions and world champions. He studied and practiced Taekwondo, Korean Style Martial Arts for mind and body development.

Aaron was employed at Sun Oil Company after leaving the military. He served as a systems engineer, data processing manager, and marketing account manager, selling millions of dollars in data processing products and services. He retired from Sun Oil after twenty years of service. He was also a real estate investor, general insurance agent and financial planner. He was an associate professor of accounting at Cheyney University, Pennsylvania.

He leaves to cherish fond memories two sons, Aaron Billups Jr., of Hiroshima, Japan and Alan Billups of North Jersey; one daughter Angela Billups of Washington DC; two sisters, Laura Burt and Fannie Crenshaw; one grandchild Agapi Billups, and a host of other relatives and friends.
