Guadalupe "Lupita" Garcia, 66, of Richmond, Texas passed away on November 22, 2016 in Houston, Texas. She was born December 10, 1949 in Mexico to Francisco Martinez and Juanita Salinas. She was a longtime parishioner of St. John Fisher Catholic Church in Richmond, Texas. Lupita retired from Alief I.S.D after 30 years of service. Lupita enjoyed going to church and spending time with her family. Other hobbies included going shopping and trying her luck with Scratch-Off Tickets. This loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend will be missed.

In addition to her parents, Lupita is preceded in death by her brothers, Jesus Martinez Salinas, Jose Martinez Salinas and Gabino Martinez Salinas. Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Joel C. Garcia; children, Joel Garcia Jr., Maria Teresa Gutierrez (Waldo), Gabriela Martinez (Gilbert), and Daniela Garcia; grandchildren, Anthony Enrique Garcia, Joel Garcia III, Marissa Ann Garcia, Matthew Garrett Martinez and Madison Nicole Martinez; siblings, Concepcion Martinez Salinas, Gabino Martinez Salinas, Enrique Martinez Salinas, Edmondo Martinez Salinas, and Rosendo Martinez Salinas; along with extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, November 27, 2016 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 28, 2016 at St. John Fisher Catholic Church in Richmond with burial following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
