Jose "Joe" Guerrero, 57, of Rosenberg, went to be with the Lord on November 21, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 5, 1959 in Richmond, Texas to Pablo and Senaida Martinez Guerrero. Joe was a long time member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Rosenberg. He was employed with NRG for over 36 years and took great pride in never missing a day until his health prevented him from working. Joe had a heart of gold filled with love and generosity. He was always willing to help anyone in need and the word "no", never entered his vocabulary. Other hobbies included watching football – especially the Tennessee Titans and playing the Texas Lotto. This loving father, Papo, brother, uncle and friend will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, Joe is preceded in death by his brother, Johnnie M. Guerrero. Survivors include his daughter, Tina Estell Romero and her children, Sarah and Gabriella Romero; siblings, Samuel Guerrero (Susie), Thomas Guerrero (Mercy), Jessie Guerrero (Patsy), Sister Esther M. Guerrero, M.C.D.P., Rosie Guerrero, Josie Andrade (Francisco), Virginia Rangel (Richard), and Margie Zuniga (Mauricio); along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m., Friday, November 25, 2016 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
A second time of visitation will be from 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m., Saturday, November 26, 2016 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Rosenberg with Father Lee Flores officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
Serving as pallbearers are Samuel Guerrero, Thomas Guerrero, Jessie Guerrero, Francisco Andrade, Richard Rangel, Mauricio Zuniga, Marco Navarro, and Johnny Ray Guerrero.
