Doris A. Kurtz, fondly known as "Nanny", 81, of Missouri City, Texas, passed away on November 6, 2016. She was born on November 14, 1934 in Cameron, Texas to Fred and Ora Neal. She dedicated her life to raising her children and grandchildren. This loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt and friend will be missed.
In additional to her parents, Nanny is preceded in death by her husband, C.T. "Sonny" Kurtz; a sister – Clara, and a brother – Billy.
Survivors include her daughters, Beverly Laib (Tony Gutierrez) and Hilda Mata; brother, Henley "Bootsie" Neal; grandchildren, Becky Olayan, Darin Freshour (Jessica), Debbie Freshour, Jodie Leonard (Ronnie), John Laib (Alicia Garcia), Sonny Poehls, Rusty Poehls, Bridgette Brooks (Chris) and Lindsay Gutierrez; 17 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; along with extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 10, 2016 in the State Room of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. The graveside will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
