Annemarie Reid (nee Morgan), 71 passed away on Sunday October 23, 2016 as a result of complications from surgery.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Friday, Oct. 28, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
Annemarie was born and raised in Kearny and was a graduate of Queen of Peace High School in North Arlington. She went on to attend Kings County Nursing School in New York City where she earned her R.N. Later, she attended Upsala College before receiving her M.A. from Farleigh Dickinson University.
Ms. Reid was a former member of the Arlington Women's Club of Kearny. She was a member of the Woman's Club of Brielle and the Brick Elks Lodge # 2151.
Annemarie was a Past President of the NJ Coalition on Women and Disabilities, Ocean County Chapter. Despite losing her leg as a young woman, there was nothing that she could not do, including snow skiing which she was most proud of.
Ms. Reid leaves behind her son Edward Reid and his wife Diana; one grandson Eddie along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be missed by her many dear friends.
