Rev. Robert T. Dowell, Sr.
1944 – 2016
Rev. Robert T. Dowell, Sr., age 72 of Yeadon, PA went home to be with the Lord on September 24, 2016 at Penn Hospice in Philadelphia, PA.
He was the son of Ethel Dowell Manson and the late Robert C. Newcomb.
He attended Darby Township area schools and graduated from Darby Colwyn High School in 1961.
Rev. Dowell furthered his education graduating from Rets Electronics School, Delaware County Community College, and the International Theological Center Seminary and received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Lancaster Bible College.
He was founder and appointed pastor of Hoyt Tabernacle Memorial CME Church, Claymont Delaware in 2008.
He was predeceased by siblings Bruce Dowell and Shirley Wyatt.
He leaves to cherish fond memories his wife Angeline Smith Dowell, children Robert T. Dowell, Jr (Stacey), Everett P. Dowell and Sean D. Dowell, mother Ethel Dowell Manson, brothers Rocklyn, and Ronald Newcomb and Michael Jones, stepchildren Keith N. Smith, Candace Dandridge and 2 nieces he raised Shera Hampton and Shantel Soto(Luis).
Also survived by 7 grandchildren, great-grandchildren a host of other relatives and friends.

at Mt. Zion CME Church, 701 Felton St., Sharon Hill, PA
