David Chartier transitioned to life eternal following a tragic accident on August 6, 2016 at the age of 51.

He is survived by his loving Wife, Terri Sailors- Chartier; Son, Matthew Chartier and wife, Andrea Chartier and grandson, David Elliot Chartier, who bears his name; Daughter, Victoria Chartier. He was preceded in death by his sister, Cheri Lynn Chartier. He is also survived by his Mother and Father, Ruth and Darrel Chartier; Brother, Larry Chartier and his wife Colleen and daughters Shaunna Kay Thatcher, Shanna Jo McCullough, and son Dustin Dean Chartier; Brother, Patrick Chartier and his wife Lisa, daughter Kassy Perry and son Kayde; Sister, Kimberly Stouffer and her husband Matthew and daughter Heather and son Isaac; Brother Mark Chartier. And many, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

David had two careers during his all too short life, both of which he loved. He served in the U.S. Army as an infantryman and he was an important part of a home health agency on the Monterey Peninsula. He had a real calling as a caregiver, especially to the elderly. His skill, compassion and patience in his chosen field was evident to all who knew him. He will be missed and remembered with great fondness, not only by his family, but also by his many friends and grateful patients. David possessed a love for life and excitement. Wherever he was he looked for the positive side of things. He loved dancing, family & children. He was a constant jokester, a joy to be around, and a fun loving husband, father, brother son & friend. Ready at all times for a new adventure, he was always wanting to try something or someplace different. His joie de vivre was infectious! His most recent love was the island of Kauai. The island's kind, aloha spirit resonated with him to his core. It brought him so much joy to snorkel and swim in the warm waters of the Pacific. His wonderfully compassionate personality and outgoing spirit will be missed by all who knew him.
