C. Gail Jacynowicz, 66, of New Britain, passed away Sunday (July 17, 2016) at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. A native and lifelong New Britain resident, Gail was a graduate of New Britain High School, class of 1967. She received degrees from Briarwood College for Women, Tunxis Community College and the University of Hartford.
Surviving is her son, William J. Megofna, Jr. and his wife Vanessa of New York City; a brother, Edward Jacynowicz and his wife Josephine of Charlestown, RI; a nephew, Bobby Jacynowicz and his wife Brenda, also of Charlestown; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services are Saturday 11 AM at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain. Entombment will be at the family's convenience in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours are Saturday morning from 9AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CT Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd. Newington, CT 06111.
