Mildred "Millie" Hedt passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at the age of 79. She was born on January 11, 1937 in Schulenberg, Texas, to Raymond Veselka and Hilda Schilhab. She enjoyed dancing with their many friends and was a member of the Texas P.O.L.K.A. club. She also enjoyed baking, canning and fishing and was also a member of the Needville American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 350, and member of Sugar Canes of St. Theresa's Church. Mildred, retired from the City of Sugar Land permit dept.

Millie is survived by her husband, Marvin A. Hedt of 61 years; and her children, Marilynn Havens and her husband Phillip, Marvin W. Hedt, Marcella Davis and her husband Richard; grandchildren, Emily Havens, Taylor Poyer and her husband Jeff, Corbin Hedt and his fiancée Bianca, Susan York and her husband Jim and Robin Davis; great grandchildren, Jackson Poyer and Addyson York; brother, Alton Veselka and his wife Elaine and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 23, 2016 in the chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. A celebration of Millie's life will be held on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at the St. Theresa's Catholic Church, 705 St. Theresa Blvd., Sugar Land, Texas 77479.
