Eddie Lorenzo Jackson, 88, of Irvington, N.J., peacefully passed away on June 6, 2016.
Born in Blackstone, Va., Mr. Jackson lived in Orange for many years before moving to Irvington 34 years ago. He had various jobs before joining the Millburn, N.J., and Orange public school systems, where he retired in 1996 as a custodian.
He was predeceased by his brother, James Jackson; his sisters, Elizabeth Jackson, Mildred Patterson, and Martha Lee, and his sons, Ernest Fowlkes and William Jackson.
Eddie leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 66 years, Essie; his children, Patricia, Sandra, Deborah, and Lawrence; his son-in-law, Frank; his daughters-in-law, Patricia Fowlkes, Deborah A. Jackson, and Karen H. Jackson; his brother, Wilbur; his sisters, May Alice Johnson, Mary Anderson, and Ruth Williams; his grandchildren, Diane, Theresa, Camille (Vernon), Ty Keya, Nicole, Ashley, Christopher (Midori), Chase, and Brandon (Vanessa); his great-grandchildren, Autumn, Mason, and Maxwell; and also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
