DeRanda (Ronda) M. Carter – Williams, the daughter of the late Wayne Brodard and Millista A. Carter, was born July 7, 1972, in Wilmington, Delaware. Ronda departed this life on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, peaceful at home.
Ronda received her early education in the public schools of Wilmington, DE and graduated from Alexis I. DuPont High School in 1992. While attending Alexis I. DuPont, she enjoyed playing soccer. After graduating, she attended Dawn Training School and received her certification in Home Health Aide. After graduation, she became employed by Neuro Care/Total Care and she continued in this capacity for 7 years.
In 2010 Ronda was united in Holy Matrimony to Eric G. Williams and from this union, they raised 6 children together. Ronda was a member of Mt. Zion GHMI, under the leadership of Dr. Apostle Robert Revell, Sr.
Ronda enjoyed family get-togethers, cooking, dancing, listening to music, watching her favorite game show, "The Price Is Right", and she loved talking about the Lord's Goodness and Mercy. Ronda was a loving wife, mother, cousin, and friend. There was nothing she would not do to help anyone. Ronda enjoyed watching every one enjoy her cooking and telling jokes.
Ronda loved her husband, of 13 years, to life; not only was she his wife but his best friend as well. The love that she gave and showed to Eric Williams, he gave to her the same. Whenever one of her girlfriends would come to take her out, she would always say, Girl, Eric is going to get me. Ronda loved and cherished all of her children. Ronda was a people person and she saw the good in each person she came in contact with.
Ronda leaves to cherish her memory: loving husband, Eric G. Williams; children, Kerron Carter, Kerru Carter, Kay Francis Carter, Terika Glass and Tamila Glass and Godson, Corey.
Daughter of the late Millista Carter, the late Wayne Brodard and Bernard Gyser, the father who raised her as his own. Granddaughter of the late James and Kay Carter; sister of Airrea Carter, Blaine Brodard, Craig Brodard, and Kimberly Butler.
Also survived by a granddaughter, Chloe Wright; nephew, Donte Carter; aunts, Deborah (Troy) Scott, Marjori Carter, Kathy (Orlando) Mays, Shari (Elijah) Greir, and devoted aunt, Louise (Pat) Hollowell; uncle Tommy (Michelle) Carter and the late uncle James Carter; devoted cousins, Kenneth (Keisha) Carter, Eddie Carter, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral 11am Thursday, June 9th at Congo Funeral Home, 201 N. Gray Avenue, Wilmington, DE 19805; viewing 9-10:45am.
