Anne C. Dixon (nee Brady), 78, passed away on May 22, 2016 in the Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville, NJ.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet for the funeral mass at St. Cecilia Church, 120 Kearny Ave., Kearny, NJ on Saturday May 28, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.
Mrs. Dixon was born in Bellshill, Scotland and immigrated to this country in 1959 and lived in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ before moving to Kearny in 1963.
She was bank teller at Kearny Federal Savings and Loan, Kearny branch for 17 years before retiring as Head Teller in 2007. She later worked as a Librarian at the Kearny Branch Library for 9 years, retiring in 2015.
Anne was a proud member of the Scots American Athletic Club of Kearny as well as the Irish American Club of Kearny where she was named Woman Of The Year in 2014. She was also a member of the Xaverian Guild.
Mrs. Dixon is survived by her daughter; Anne Marie Reid and her husband William; two grandsons, Kyle and William, Jr.; siblings, Catherine Jarvie, Julia Brady, James Brady and Owen Brady. She was the aunt of Kathleen Brady and Sean Brady and many other nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews in England, Scotland and Ireland.
She was predeceased by her husband, John Dixon and two sisters, Margaret Smellie and Moira McDowell.
